The Jackson County Treasurers Office is pleased to announce the Dog License Campaign (PDF) that provides a convenient online payment and a new 3 year dog license option.

Michigan State Law requires ALL dogs to be rabies vaccinated and licensed at four months age.

Please have proof of spay/neuter and proof of current rabies vaccination.

With a 3 year rabies vaccine, the County of Jackson is making available a 3 year dog license.

Licensing your dog is one of the most important things you can do as a pet owner.

A license tells everyone that your pet is not a homeless stray.

Licensing your dog helps to control and prevent the spread of rabies.

Dog License Application
A dog is required to be licensed from 4 months of age.
Required Information to purchase a dog license:

Copies of proof of rabies vaccination from your veterinarian.

Copies of certification of spay or neuter from your veterinarian.

Dog License Application (PDF) or submit online through the Michigan Dog License website.

Fees
Dog licenses may be purchased for 1 or 3 years at a time. Rabies certificates must be valid for the same period of time as the license.
1 Year License

$10 for a neutered male or spayed female

$20 for a male or female
3 Year License
With a 3 year rabies vaccine, a 3 year dog license can be purchased.

$25 for a neutered male or spayed female

$60 for a male or female
Senior Citizen Dog License Fees
For Senior Citizen fees (age 65 or older), you must provide proof of age to the County Treasurer.
1 Year License

$5 for a neutered male or spayed female

$10 for a male or female

3 Year License

$12 for a neutered male or spayed female
